men zuò zi deyào shùn de zhàngfuzhèyàngruòyǒu xìn cóng dào de zhàngfumen suīrán tīng dào yīn zi de pǐnxíng bèi gǎnhuà guòlái 1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
zhè zhèngshì yīn kànjiàn men yǒu zhēnjié de pǐnxíng jìngwèi de xīn 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
men yào wài miànde biàn tóufadài jīnshì穿chuān měi wèi zhuāngshì 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

yīnwèi shí yǎnglài shén de shèngjié rénzhèngshì wèi zhuāngshìshùn de zhàngfu 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
jiù tīngcóng hǎnchēng wèi zhǔmen ruò xíngshàn yīn kǒng ér hài便biànshì de ér le 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

zǒngéryánzhīmen dōu yào tóngxīn xiāngài xiōngcún lián qiānbēi de xīn 8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
è bào è hái dǎoyào zhùyīn men shì wèi méng zhàohǎo jiào men chéngshòu 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

shén de zhǐ ruòshì jiào men yīn xíngshàn shòuzǒng qiáng yīn xíngè shòu 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
