提tí摩mó太tài前qián書shū第dì三sān 章zhāng	1 Timothy 3
1 人rén 若ruò 想xiǎng要yào 得dé 監jiān督dū 的de 職zhí 分fēn 、 就jiù是shì 羨xiàn慕mù 善shàn 工gōng ． 這zhè 話huà 是shì 可kě信xìn 的de ．	1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 作zuò 監jiān督dū 的de 、 必bì須xū 無wú可kě指zhǐ責zé 、 只zhǐ 作zuò 一yī個ge 婦fù人rén 的de 丈zhàng夫fu 、 有yǒu節jié制zhì 、 自zì 守shǒu 、 端duān正zhèng 、 樂lè意yì 接jiē待dài 遠yuǎn 人rén 、 善shàn於yú 教jiào導dǎo ．	2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 不bù 因yīn 酒jiǔ 滋zī事shì 、 不bù 打dǎ人rén 、 只zhǐ 要yào 溫wēn和hé 、 不bù 爭zhēng 競jìng 、 不bù 貪tān財cái ．	3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 好hǎo好hǎo 管guǎn理lǐ 自zì己jǐ的de 家jiā 、 使shǐ 兒ér女nǚ 凡fán事shì 端duān莊zhuāng 順shùn服fú 。〔 或huò 作zuò 端duān 端duān莊zhuāng 莊zhuāng 的de 使shǐ 兒ér女nǚ 順shùn服fú 〕	4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 人rén 若ruò不bù 知zhī道dao 管guǎn理lǐ 自zì己jǐ的de 家jiā 、 焉yān能néng 照zhào管guǎn 神shén 的de 教jiào會huì 呢ne 。	5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 初chū 入rù教jiào 的de 不bù可kě 作zuò 監jiān督dū 、 恐kǒng怕pà 他tā 自zì高gāo自zì大dà 、 就jiù 落luò在zài 魔mó鬼guǐ 所suǒ 受shòu 的de 刑xíng罰fá 裡lǐ 。	6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 監jiān督dū 也yě 必bì須xū 在zài 教jiào外wài 有yǒu 好hǎo名míng聲shēng 、 恐kǒng怕pà 被bèi 人rén 毀huǐ謗bàng 、 落luò在zài 魔mó鬼guǐ 的de 網wǎng羅luó 裡lǐ 。	7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 作zuò 執zhí事shì 的de 也yě 是shì 如rú此cǐ 、 必bì須xū 端duān莊zhuāng 、 不bù一yī 口kǒu 兩liǎng 舌shé 、 不bù好hǎo 喝hē酒jiǔ 、 不bù 貪tān 不bù義yì之zhī財cái ．	8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 要yào 存cún 清qīng潔jié 的de 良liáng心xīn 、 固gù守shǒu 真zhēn 道dào 的de 奧ào秘mì 。	9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 這zhè等děng 人rén 也yě 要yào 先xiān 受shòu試shì 驗yàn ． 若ruò 沒méi有yǒu 可kě責zé 之zhī處chù 、 然rán後hòu 叫jiào 他tā們men 作zuò 執zhí事shì 。	10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 女nǚ 執zhí事shì 〔 原yuán文wén 作zuò 女nǚ人rén 〕 也yě 是shì 如rú此cǐ 、 必bì須xū 端duān莊zhuāng 、 不bù說shuō 讒chán言yán 、 有yǒu節jié制zhì 、 凡fán事shì 忠zhōng心xīn 。	11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 執zhí事shì 只zhǐ 要yào 作zuò 一yī個ge 婦fù人rén 的de 丈zhàng夫fu 、 好hǎo好hǎo 管guǎn理lǐ 兒ér女nǚ 和hé 自zì己jǐ的de 家jiā 。	12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 因yīn為wèi 善shàn 作zuò 執zhí事shì 的de 、 自zì己jǐ 就jiù 得dé到dào 美měi好hǎo 的de 地dì步bù 、 並bìng且qiě 在zài 基jī督dū 耶yē穌sū 裡lǐ 的de 真zhēn 道dào上shàng 大dà有yǒu 膽dǎn量liàng 。	13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 我wǒ 指zhǐ望wàng 快kuài到dào 你nǐ 那nà裡li 去qù 、 所suǒ以yǐ 先xiān 將jiāng 這zhè些xie 事shì 寫xiě給gěi 你nǐ ．	14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15 倘tǎng若ruò 我wǒ 耽dān 延yán 日rì久jiǔ 、 你nǐ 也yě 可kě以yǐ 知zhī道dao 在zài 神shén 的de 家jiā中zhōng 當dāng 怎zěn樣yàng 行xíng ． 這zhè家jiā 就jiù是shì 永yǒng生shēng 神shén 的de 教jiào會huì 、 真zhēn理lǐ 的de 柱zhù石shí 和hé 根gēn基jī 。	15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 大dà 哉zāi 、 敬jìng 虔qián 的de 奧ào秘mì 、 無wú人rén 不bù以yǐ為wéi然rán ． 就jiù是shì 神shén 在zài 肉ròu身shēn 顯xiǎn現xiàn 、 被bèi 聖shèng靈líng 稱chēng義yì 、〔 或huò 作zuò在zài 靈líng性xìng 稱chēng義yì 〕 被bèi 天tiān使shǐ 看kàn見jiàn 、 被bèi 傳chuán 於yú 外wài邦bāng 、 被bèi 世shì人rén 信xìn服fú 、 被bèi 接jiē在zài 榮róng耀yào 裡lǐ 。	16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
