1 有yǒu 一yī個ge 患huàn病bìng 的de 人rén 、 名míng叫jiào 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 、 住zhù在zài 伯bó大dà尼ní 、 就jiù是shì 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 和hé 他tā 姐jiě姐jie 馬mǎ大dà 的de 村cūn 莊zhuāng 。	1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2 這zhè 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 就jiù是shì 那nà 用yòng 香xiāng 膏gāo抹mǒ 主zhǔ 、 又yòu 用yòng頭tóu 髮fà 擦cā 他tā 腳jiǎo 的de ． 患huàn病bìng 的de 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 是shì 他tā的de 兄xiōng弟dì 。	2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
3 他tā 姊zǐ妹mèi 兩liǎng個ge 就jiù 打dǎ發fā 人rén 去qù 見jiàn 耶yē穌sū 說shuō 、 主zhǔ 阿ā 、 你nǐ 所suǒ愛ài 的de 人rén 病bìng了le 。	3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 耶yē穌sū 聽tīng見jiàn 就jiù 說shuō 、 這zhè 病bìng 不bù至zhì於yú 死sǐ 、 乃nǎi是shì 為wèi 神shén 的de 榮róng耀yào 、 叫jiào 神shén 的de 兒ér子zi 因yīn此cǐ 得dé 榮róng耀yào 。	4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
5 耶yē穌sū 素sù來lái 愛ài 馬mǎ大dà 、 和hé 他tā 妹mèi子zi 、 並bìng 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 。	5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 聽tīng見jiàn 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 病bìng了le 、 就jiù 在zài 所suǒ 居jū 之zhī 地de 、 仍réng 住zhù了le 兩liǎng天tiān 。	6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
7 然rán後hòu 對duì 門mén徒tú 說shuō 、 我wǒ們men 再zài 往wǎng 猶yóu太tài 去qù 罷bà 。	7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
8 門mén徒tú 說shuō 、 拉lā比bǐ 、 猶yóu太tài人rén 近jìn來lái 要yào 拿ná 石shí頭tou 打dǎ 你nǐ 、 你nǐ 還hái 往wǎng那nà裡lǐ 去qù 麼me 。	8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
9 耶yē穌sū 回huí答dá說shuō 、 白bái日rì 不bù是shì 有yǒu 十shí二èr 小xiǎo時shí 麼me 。 人rén 在zài 白bái日rì 走zǒu路lù 、 就jiù 不bù至zhì 跌diē倒dǎo 、 因yīn為wèi 看kàn見jiàn 這zhè 世shì上shàng 的de 光guāng 。	9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
10 若ruò 在zài 黑hēi夜yè 走zǒu路lù 、 就jiù 必bì 跌diē倒dǎo 、 因yīn為wèi 他tā 沒méi有yǒu 光guāng 。	10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
11 耶yē穌sū 說shuō了le 這zhè 話huà 、 隨suí後hòu 對duì 他tā們men 說shuō 、 我wǒ們men 的de 朋péng友you 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 睡shuì了le 、 我wǒ 去qù 叫jiào醒xǐng 他tā 。	11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 門mén徒tú 說shuō 、 主zhǔ 阿ā 、 他tā 若ruò 睡shuì了le 、 就jiù 必bì 好hǎo了le 。	12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 耶yē穌sū 這zhè 話huà 是shì 指zhǐ著zhe 他tā 死sǐ 說shuō的de ． 他tā們men 卻què 以yǐ為wéi 是shì 說shuō 照zhào常cháng 睡shuì了le 。	13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 耶yē穌sū 就jiù 明míng明míng 的de 告gào訴su 他tā們men 說shuō 、 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 死sǐ了le 。	14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15 我wǒ 沒méi有yǒu 在zài那nà裡lǐ 就jiù 歡huān喜xǐ 、 這zhè 是shì 為wèi 你nǐ們men的de 緣yuán故gù 、 好hǎo 叫jiào 你nǐ們men 相xiāng信xìn ． 如rú今jīn 我wǒ們men 可kě以yǐ 往wǎng 他tā 那nà裡li 去qù 罷bà 。	15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
16 多duō馬mǎ 、 又yòu 稱chēng為wéi 低dī 土tǔ馬mǎ 、 就jiù 對duì 那nà 同tóng作zuò 門mén徒tú 的de 說shuō 、 我wǒ們men 也yě 去qù 和hé 他tā 同tóng 死sǐ 罷bà 。	16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
17 耶yē穌sū 到dào了le 、 就jiù 知zhī道dao 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 在zài 墳fén墓mù 裡lǐ 、 已yǐ經jīng 四sì天tiān 了le 。	17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.
18 伯bó大dà尼ní 離lí 耶yē路lù 撒sā 泠líng 不bù遠yuǎn 、 約yuē 有yǒu 六liù 里lǐ 路lù 。	18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:
19 有yǒu 好hǎo些xiē 猶yóu太tài人rén 來lái 看kàn 馬mǎ 大dà和hé 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 、 要yào 為wèi 他tā們men的de 兄xiōng弟dì 安ān慰wèi 他tā們men 。	19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20 馬mǎ大dà 聽tīng見jiàn 耶yē穌sū 來lái 了le 、 就jiù 出chū去qù 迎yíng接jiē 他tā ． 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 卻què 仍réng然rán 坐zuò在zài 家jiā裡lǐ 。	20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
21 馬mǎ大dà 對duì 耶yē穌sū 說shuō 、 主zhǔ 阿ā 、 你nǐ 若ruò 早zǎo在zài 這zhè裡lǐ 、 我wǒ 兄xiōng弟dì 必bì 不bù死sǐ 。	21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22 就jiù是shì 現xiàn在zài 、 我wǒ 也yě 知zhī道dao 、 你nǐ 無wú論lùn 向xiàng 神shén 求qiú 甚shén麼me 、 神shén 也yě 必bì 賜cì給gěi 你nǐ 。	22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
23 耶yē穌sū 說shuō 、 你nǐ 兄xiōng弟dì 必bì然rán 復fù活huó 。	23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 馬mǎ大dà 說shuō 、 我wǒ 知zhī道dao 在zài 末mò日rì 復fù活huó 的de時shí候hòu 、 他tā 必bì 復fù活huó 。	24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 耶yē穌sū 對duì 他tā 說shuō 、 復fù活huó 在zài 我wǒ 、 生shēng命mìng 也yě 在zài 我wǒ ． 信xìn 我wǒ的de 人rén 、 雖suī然rán 死sǐ了le 、 也yě 必bì 復fù活huó ．	25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 凡fán 活huó著zhe 信xìn 我wǒ的de 人rén 、 必bì 永yǒng遠yuǎn 不bù死sǐ 。 你nǐ 信xìn 這zhè 話huà 麼me 。	26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
27 馬mǎ大dà 說shuō 、 主zhǔ 阿ā 、 是shì的de ． 我wǒ 信xìn 你nǐ 是shì 基jī督dū 、 是shì 神shén 的de 兒ér子zi 、 就jiù是shì 那nà 要yào 臨lín到dào 世shì界jiè 的de 。	27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
28 馬mǎ大dà 說shuō了le 這zhè 話huà 、 就jiù 回huí去qu 暗àn暗àn 的de 叫jiào 他tā 妺mò 子zǐ 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 說shuō 、 夫fū子zǐ 來lái 了le 、 叫jiào 你nǐ 。	28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
29 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 聽tīng見jiàn 了le 、 就jiù 急jí忙máng 起qǐ來lai 、 到dào 耶yē穌sū 那nà裡li 去qù 。	29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
30 那nà時shí 、 耶yē穌sū 還hái沒méi有yǒu 進jìn 村cūn子zi 、 仍réng在zài 馬mǎ大dà 迎yíng接jiē 他tā的de 地dì方fang 。	30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
31 那nà些xiē 同tóng 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 在zài家jiā 裡lǐ 安ān慰wèi 他tā的de 猶yóu太tài人rén 、 見jiàn 他tā 急jí忙máng 起qǐ來lai 出chū去qù 、 就jiù 跟gēn著zhe 他tā ． 以yǐ為wéi 他tā 要yào 往wǎng 墳fén墓mù 那nà裡li 去qù 哭kū 。	31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.
32 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 到dào了le 耶yē穌sū 那nà裡li 、 看kàn見jiàn 他tā 、 就jiù 俯fǔ伏fú 在zài 他tā 腳jiǎo 前qián 、 說shuō 、 主zhǔ 阿ā 、 你nǐ 若ruò 早zǎo在zài 這zhè裡lǐ 、 我wǒ 兄xiōng弟dì 必bì 不bù死sǐ 。	32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
33 耶yē穌sū 看kàn見jiàn 他tā 哭kū 、 並bìng 看kàn見jiàn 與yú 他tā 同tóng 來lái 的de 猶yóu太tài人rén 也yě 哭kū 、 就jiù 心xīn裡lǐ 悲bēi歎tàn 、 又yòu 甚shèn 憂yōu愁chóu ． 、	33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
34 便biàn 說shuō 、 你nǐ們men 把bǎ 他tā 安ān放fàng 在zài那nà裡lǐ ． 他tā們men 回huí答dá說shuō 、 請qǐng 主zhǔ 來lái 看kàn 。	34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
35 耶yē穌sū 哭kū了le 。	35 Jesus wept.
36 猶yóu太tài人rén 就jiù 說shuō 、 你nǐ 看kàn 他tā 愛ài 這zhè 人rén 是shì 何hé等děng 懇kěn切qiè 。	36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
37 其qí中zhōng 有yǒu人rén 說shuō 、 他tā 既jì然rán 開kāi了le 瞎xiā子zi 的de 眼yǎn睛jīng 、 豈qǐ不bù 能néng 叫jiào 這zhè 人rén 不bù死sǐ 麼me 。	37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
38 耶yē穌sū 又yòu 心xīn裡lǐ 悲bēi歎tàn 、 來lái到dào 墳fén墓mù 前qián ． 那nà 墳fén墓mù 是shì 個ge 洞dòng 、 有yǒu 一yī塊kuài 石shí頭tou 擋dǎng 著zhe 。	38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39 耶yē穌sū 說shuō 、 你nǐ們men 把bǎ 石shí頭tou 挪nuó開kāi 。 那nà 死sǐ人rén 的de 姐jiě姐jie 馬mǎ大dà 對duì 他tā 說shuō 、 主zhǔ 阿ā 、 他tā 現xiàn在zài 必bì是shì 臭chòu 了le 、 因yīn為wèi 他tā 死sǐ了le 已yǐ經jīng 四sì天tiān 了le 。	39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 耶yē穌sū 說shuō 、 我wǒ 不bù是shì 對duì 你nǐ 說shuō過guò 、 你nǐ 若ruò 信xìn 、 就jiù 必bì 看kàn見jiàn 神shén 的de 榮róng耀yào 麼me 。	40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41 他tā們men 就jiù 把bǎ 石shí頭tou 挪nuó開kāi ． 耶yē穌sū 舉jǔ目mù 望wàng 天tiān說shuō 、 父fù 阿ā 、 我wǒ 感gǎn謝xiè 你nǐ 、 因yīn為wèi 你nǐ 已yǐ經jīng 聽tīng 我wǒ 。	41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 我wǒ 也yě 知zhī道dao 你nǐ 常cháng 聽tīng 我wǒ 、 但dàn 我wǒ 說shuō 這zhè 話huà 、 是shì 為wèi 周zhōu圍wéi 站zhàn著zhe 的de 眾zhòng人rén 、 叫jiào 他tā們men 信xìn 是shì 你nǐ 差chāi 了le 我wǒ 來lái 。	42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 說shuō了le 這zhè 話huà 、 就jiù 大dà聲shēng 呼hū叫jiào 說shuō 、 拉lā 撒sā 路lù 出chū來lai 。	43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 那nà 死sǐ人rén 就jiù 出chū來lai 了le 、 手shǒu腳jiǎo 裹guǒ著zhe 布bù 、 臉liǎn上shàng 包bāo著zhe 手shǒu巾jīn 。 耶yē穌sū 對duì 他tā們men 說shuō 、 解jiě開kāi 、 叫jiào 他tā 走zǒu 。	44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
45 那nà些xiē 來lái 看kàn 馬mǎ利lì亞yǎ 的de 猶yóu太tài人rén 、 見jiàn了le 耶yē穌sū 所suǒ 作zuò 的de 事shì 、 就jiù 多duō 有yǒu 信xìn 他tā的de ．	45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
46 但dàn 其qí中zhōng 也yě 有yǒu 去qù 見jiàn 法fǎ利lì賽sài人rén 的de 、 將jiāng 耶yē穌sū 所suǒ 作zuò 的de 事shì 告gào訴su 他tā們men 。	46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
47 祭jì司sī長zhǎng 和hé 法fǎ利lì賽sài人rén 聚jù集jí 公gōng會huì 、 說shuō 、 這zhè 人rén行xíng 好hǎo些xiē 神shén蹟jī 、 我wǒ們men 怎zěn麼má辦bàn 呢ne 。	47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
48 若ruò 這zhè樣yàng 由yóu 著zhe 他tā 、 人rén人rén 都dōu 要yào 信xìn 他tā ． 羅luó馬mǎ人rén 也yě 要yào 來lái 奪duó 我wǒ們men 的de 地dì土tǔ 、 和hé 我wǒ們men 的de 百bǎi姓xìng 。	48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
49 內nèi中zhōng 有yǒu 一yī個ge 人rén 、 名míng叫jiào 該gāi 亞yà法fǎ 、 本běn年nián 作zuò大dà 祭jì司sī 、 對duì 他tā們men 說shuō 、 你nǐ們men 不bù知zhī道dào 甚shén麼me 。	49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
50 獨dú 不bù想xiǎng 一yī個ge 人rén 替tì 百bǎi姓xìng 死sǐ 、 免miǎn得dé 通tōng 國guó 滅miè亡wáng 、 就jiù是shì 你nǐ們men的de 益yì處chù 。	50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
51 他tā 這zhè 話huà 不bù是shì 出chū於yú 自zì己jǐ 、 是shì 因yīn 他tā 本běn年nián 作zuò大dà 祭jì司sī 、 所suǒ以yǐ 豫yù言yán 耶yē穌sū 將jiāng 要yào 替tì 這zhè 一yī 國guó 死sǐ 。	51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
52 也yě 不bù但dàn 替tì 這zhè 一yī 國guó 死sǐ 、 並bìng 要yào 將jiāng 神shén 四sì散sàn 的de 子zǐ民mín 、 都dōu 聚jù集jí 歸guī一yī 。	52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
53 從cóng 那nà 日rì 起qǐ 他tā們men 就jiù 商shāng議yì 要yào 殺shā 耶yē穌sū 。	53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
54 所suǒ以yǐ 耶yē穌sū 不bù再zài 顯xiǎn然ran 行xíng 在zài 猶yóu太tài人rén 中zhōng間jiān 、 就jiù 離lí開kāi 那nà裡li 往wǎng 靠kào近jìn 曠kuàng野yě 的de 地dì方fang 去qù ． 到dào了le 一yī座zuò 城chéng 、 名míng叫jiào 以yǐ法fǎ蓮lián 、 就jiù 在zài那nà裡lǐ 和hé 門mén徒tú 同tóng住zhù 。	54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
55 猶yóu太tài人rén 的de 逾yú越yuè節jié 近jìn 了le ． 有yǒu 許xǔ多duō 人rén 從cóng 鄉xiāng下xià 上shàng 耶yē路lù 撒sā 泠líng 去qù 、 要yào 在zài 節jié前qián 潔jié淨jìng 自zì己jǐ 。	55 And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
56 他tā們men 就jiù 尋xún找zhǎo 耶yē穌sū 、 站zhàn在zài 殿diàn 裡lǐ 彼bǐ此cǐ 說shuō 、 你nǐ們men的de 意yì思si 如rú何hé 、 他tā 不bù來lái 過guò節jié 麼me 。	56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?
57 那nà時shí 、 祭jì司sī長zhǎng 和hé 法fǎ利lì賽sài人rén 早zǎo已yǐ 吩fēn咐fù 說shuō 、 若ruò有yǒu 人rén 知zhī道dao 耶yē穌sū 在zài那nà裡lǐ 、 就jiù 要yào 報bào 明míng 、 好hǎo 去qù拿ná 他tā 。	57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.
