1 該gāi 撒sā 提tí 庇bì 留liú在zài 位wèi第dì 十shí五wǔ年nián 、 本běn 丟diū 彼bǐ 拉lā多duō 作zuò 猶yóu太tài 巡xún撫fǔ 、 希xī律lǜ 作zuò 加jiā利lì利lì 分fēn封fēng 的de 王wáng 、 他tā的de 兄xiōng弟dì 腓féi力lì 作zuò 以yǐ 士shì 利lì亞yà 和hé 特tè拉lā可kě尼ní 地dì方fang 分fēn封fēng 的de 王wáng 、 呂lǚ 撒sā 聶niè 作zuò 亞yà 比bǐ利lì尼ní 分fēn封fēng 的de 王wáng 、	1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
2 亞yà那nà 和hé 該gāi 亞yà法fǎ 作zuò大dà 祭jì司sī 、 那nà時shí 、 撒sā迦jiā利lì亞yǎ 的de 兒ér子zi 約yuē翰hàn 在zài 曠kuàng野yě 裡lǐ 、 神shén 的de話huà 臨lín到dào 他tā 。	2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
3 他tā 就jiù 來lái到dào 約yuē但dàn 河hé 一yī帶dài 地dì方fang 、 宣xuān講jiǎng 悔huǐ改gǎi 的de 洗xǐ禮lǐ 、 使shǐ 罪zuì 得dé 赦shè ．	3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
4 正zhèng如rú 先xiān知zhī 以yǐ賽sài亞yǎ書shū 上shàng 所suǒ 記jì的de 話huà 、 說shuō 、『 在zài 曠kuàng野yě 有yǒu人rén 聲shēng 喊hǎn著zhe 說shuō 、 豫yù備bèi 主zhǔ 的de 道dào 、 修xiū 直zhí 他tā的de 路lù 。	4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
5 一yí切qiè 山shān 漥wā 都dōu 要yào 填tián滿mǎn 、 大dà小xiǎo 山shān岡gāng 都dōu 要yào 削xuē平píng 、 彎wān彎wān曲qǔ曲qǔ 的de 地dì方fang 要yào 改gǎi為wèi 正zhèng直zhí 、 高gāo高gāo 低dī 低dī 的de 道dào路lù 要yào 改gǎi為wèi 平píng坦tǎn 。	5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;
6 凡fán有yǒu 血xuè氣qì 的de 、 都dōu 要yào見jiàn 神shén 的de 救jiù恩ēn 。』	6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
7 約yuē翰hàn 對duì 那nà 出chū來lai 要yào 受shòu 他tā 洗xǐ 的de 眾zhòng人rén 說shuō 、 毒dú蛇shé 的de 種zhǒng類lèi 、 誰shéi 指zhǐ示shì 你nǐ們men 逃táo避bì 將jiāng來lái 的de 忿fèn怒nù 呢ne 。	7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 你nǐ們men 要yào 結jié出chū 果guǒ子zi 來lái 、 與yú 悔huǐ改gǎi 的de 心xīn 相xiāng稱chēng 、 不bù要yào 自zì己jǐ 心xīn裡lǐ 說shuō 、 有yǒu 亞yà伯bó伯bó 罕hǎn 為wèi 我wǒ們men 的de 祖zǔ宗zōng ． 我wǒ 告gào訴su 你nǐ們men 、 神shén 能néng 從cóng 這zhè些xie 石shí頭tou 中zhōng 、 給gěi 亞yǎ伯bó拉lā罕hǎn 興xīng起qǐ 子zǐ孫sūn 來lái 。	8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 現xiàn在zài 斧fǔ子zǐ 已yǐ經jīng 放fàng在zài 樹shù根gēn 上shàng ． 凡fán 不bù 結jiē 好hǎo 果guǒ子zi 的de 樹shù 、 就jiù 砍kǎn下xià 來lái 丟diū在zài 火huǒ 裡lǐ 。	9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 眾zhòng人rén 問wèn 他tā 說shuō 、 這zhè樣yàng 我wǒ們men 當dàng作zuò 甚shén麼me 呢ne 。	10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 約yuē翰hàn 回huí答dá說shuō 、 有yǒu 兩liǎng件jiàn 衣yī裳shang 的de 、 就jiù 分fēn給gěi 那nà 沒méi有yǒu 的de ． 有yǒu 食shí物wù 的de 、 也yě 當dāng 這zhè樣yàng 行xíng 。	11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 又yòu 有yǒu 稅shuì吏lì 來lái 要yào 受shòu洗xǐ 、 問wèn 他tā 說shuō 、 夫fū子zǐ 、 我wǒ們men 當dàng作zuò 甚shén麼me 呢ne 。	12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
13 約yuē翰hàn 說shuō 、 除chú了le 例lì 定dìng的de 數shù目mù 、 不bù要yào 多duō 取qǔ 。	13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 又yòu 有yǒu 兵bīng丁dīng 問wèn 他tā 說shuō 、 我wǒ們men 當dàng作zuò 甚shén麼me 呢ne 。 約yuē翰hàn 說shuō 、 不bù要yào 以yǐ 強qiáng暴bào 待dài人rén 、 也yě 不bù要yào 訛é詐zhà 人rén 、 自zì己jǐ 有yǒu錢qián 糧liáng 就jiù 當dāng 知zhī足zú 。	14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
15 百bǎi姓xìng 指zhǐ望wàng 基jī督dū 來lái 的de時shí候hòu 、 人rén 都dōu 心xīn裡lǐ 猜cāi疑yí 、 或huò者zhě 約yuē翰hàn 是shì 基jī督dū 。	15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
16 約yuē翰hàn 說shuō 、 我wǒ 是shì 用yòng 水shuǐ 給gěi 你nǐ們men 施shī洗xǐ 、 但dàn 有yǒu 一yī位wèi 能néng力lì 比bǐ 我wǒ 更gèng大dà 的de 要yào 來lái 、 我wǒ 就jiù是shì 給gěi 他tā 解jiě 鞋xié帶dài 也yě 不bù配pèi ． 他tā 要yào 用yòng 聖shèng靈líng 與yú 火huǒ 給gěi 你nǐ們men 施shī洗xǐ 。	16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
17 他tā 手shǒu裡lǐ 拿ná著zhe 簸bò箕jī 、 要yào 揚yáng 淨jìng 他tā的de 場chǎng 、 把bǎ 麥mài子zi 收shōu 在zài 倉cāng 裡lǐ 、 把bǎ 糠kāng 用yòng 不bù滅miè 的de 火huǒ燒shāo 盡jìn 了le 。	17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
18 約yuē翰hàn 又yòu 用yòng 許xǔ多duō 別bié的de 話huà 勸quàn 百bǎi姓xìng 、 向xiàng 他tā們men 傳chuán福fú音yīn ．	18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
19 只zhǐ是shì 分fēn封fēng 的de 王wáng 希xī律lǜ 、 因yīn 他tā 兄xiōng弟dì 之zhī妻qī 希xī羅luó底dǐ 的de 緣yuán故gù 、 並bìng 因yīn 他tā 所suǒ 行xíng的de 一yí切qiè 惡è事shì 、 受shòu了le 約yuē翰hàn 的de 責zé備bèi ．	19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,
20 又yòu 另lìng外wài 添tiān 了le 一yī件jiàn 、 就jiù是shì 把bǎ 約yuē翰hàn 收shōu 在zài 監jiān 裡lǐ 。	20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 眾zhòng 百bǎi姓xìng 都dōu 受shòu了le 洗xǐ 、 耶yē穌sū 也yě 受shòu了le 洗xǐ 、 正zhèng 禱dǎo告gào 的de時shí候hòu 、 天tiān 就jiù 開kāi了le 、	21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
22 聖shèng靈líng 降jiàng臨lín 在zài 他tā 身shēn上shàng 、 形xíng狀zhuàng 彷fǎng彿fú 鴿gē子zǐ 、 又yòu 有yǒu聲shēng 音yīn 從cóng 天tiān上shàng 來lái 、 說shuō 、 你nǐ 是shì 我wǒ的de愛ài子zǐ 、 我wǒ 喜xǐ悅yuè 你nǐ 。	22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
23 耶yē穌sū 開kāi頭tóu 傳chuán道dào 、 年nián紀jì 約yuē 有yǒu 三sān十shí 歲suì ． 依yī人rén 看kàn來lai 、 他tā 是shì 約yuē瑟sè 的de 兒ér子zi 、 約yuē瑟sè 是shì 希xī 里lǐ 的de 兒ér子zi 、	23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
